Swamp Milkweed - Asclepias incarnata -Seed

Swamp Milkweed is a beautiful, fragrant pink milkweed that loves to live in swampy moist areas. This would be a great addition to a rain garden or on the outskirts of a pond. The flowers are pink to light purple.  Bloom time is April through September.  The leaves are long, narrow, and sharply pointed. 

You should plant this in a neutral to slightly acidic soil with full sun. In the wild, it's most frequently found on the edges of lakes and ponds. In the wild, it can live up to 20 years, but in the garden its ore likely to likely to live 2 to 5 years.

Don't confuse this species with Asclepias perennis, aka White Swamp Milkweed. This is much taller than White Swamp Milkweed.
